
The Borno State Social Investment Management Programme (BO-SIMP) held its end-of-year board meeting on Thursday, December 19, 2024, to review achievements and plan for upcoming activities in 2025.
The meeting, chaired by the Board Chairman, Engr. Yuguda Saleh Vungas, highlighted the program's significant milestones since its inception. Key accomplishments discussed included the successful disbursement of flood relief funds to affected communities and the launch of the scale-up of the National Social Register, aimed at expanding social safety nets across the state
The meeting also focused on strategic planning for 2025, with a commitment to further strengthen BO-SIMP's initiatives in addressing social challenges and improving the livelihoods of vulnerable populations in Borno State.
Dr. Lawal Amdan Lawal, the General Manager and Council Secretary, provided insights into the operational progress of the program, while all board members actively participated in deliberations to shape the program's future direction
BO-SIMP continues to play a pivotal role in driving social investment and promoting sustainable development in Borno State.
